A full wedding gallery cut down to fifteen images, sequenced for pace rather than coverage. Five notes in the margins explain the calls: where it opens, where the scale breaks, what got cut and why.

Note 1 — the threshold
The same doors, twice. She arrives through them and they leave through them, hours apart. The venue handed me a bookend and I used it.

Note 2 — colour and black and white
The switch isn't decorative. Colour holds the skin and the light; black and white is where the room gets loud. I let the day decide which one it was in.

Note 3 — scale break
From a full table to four stems against black. The drop in scale is where dinner slows down — the flowers finally get the close read the guests never gave them.

Note 4 — what I cut
The gallery had six frames of this toast, all good. I kept one. Repetition reads as thoroughness to the couple and as noise to everyone else.

Note 5 — closing
Ends in colour, in the same doorway light the day opened in. Not the most technically perfect frame in the gallery. The one that most sounds like the night.
